On December 26, 2023, the "Alliance of Data Science and Application Disciplines" was formally launched at the "2023 International Industry-University-Research and Application Cooperation Conference".

"The Alliance of Data Science and Application Disciplines is jointly established by seven provinces (cities), including Jiangxi, Guizhou, Hunan, Hubei, Sichuan, Chongqing and Tibet, with the theme of "Multi-dimensional Cooperation and Openness for Win-Win" and the core objective of "Gathering Talents and Breaking Problems". With the theme of "diversified cooperation" and the core objective of "gathering talents and solving problems", the alliance aims to set up a mechanism for academic exchanges and cooperation and sharing between Chinese and foreign universities, research institutes and enterprises, continuously promote the high-quality development of international industry-university-research and utilization cooperation in the field of data science, and strive to build a new pattern of openness to the outside world and win-win cooperation.

At the meeting, a total of 10 units were elected as vice president of the "Data Science and Application Disciplines Alliance", and 40 units were elected as members. The National Engineering Laboratory for E-Government Modeling and Simulation (hereinafter referred to as "the Laboratory") was elected vice president.

Laboratory Director, Harbin Engineering University, School of Computer Science, School of Software Dean Cai Chengtao keynote speech at the meeting, said the laboratory will seriously implement the requirements of the alliance statute, with the universities and colleges of the relevant disciplines in the field of industry, academia, research and complement each other's strengths, resource sharing, promote each other and promote the progress of innovation and application of the overall enhancement.
